The 72-acre terminal site was acquired out of bankruptcy from Encycle/Texas, Inc. in March 2014. Pursuant to the terms of the sale, the environmental remediation of the site is under the direction of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These agencies have the final sign off regarding the completion of the remediation.
Eagle Ford Terminals and its subsidiary will continue to make sure that the workplans previously submitted to the TCEQ and EPA are properly executed. These remediation efforts will continue until the measures outlined in the approved workplans are completed to the satisfaction of TCEQ and EPA standards and a closure of the site is obtained via a "No Further Action Letter."
